Before that all the girls would try to buy each of their sisters a present. Which really meant I had to shop for and buy twenty presents just for the girls (I have 5). The shopping was exhausting and to be honest it just filled our house with more stuff (junk). This has simplified our Christmas and the girls like it so much more ! A family that I was close to growing up did the same thing. At the end, they exchanged a hand-made Christmas ornament. I always though it was a sweet idea.
