Take the 40 Day Love Dare Challenge

Just got this in my email inbox today (thanks Carrie!) and thought it was worth passing along to others -

Starting today, FamilyLife Ministry is challenging couples to “love like you mean it” by joining their 40-day Love Dare challenge. Based on the Love Dare book from the movie Fireproof, the challenge is a practical way for you to practice unconditional love and transform your marriage by applying simple, biblical principles to your everyday life.

Every day from January 5th to February 13th, they will give you a Love Dare for the day for you to put into practice and show love to your spouse. Then, at the end of the challenge, they encourage you to celebrate your spouse with a special Valentine’s Day date.

You can receive your daily Love Dare by – Registering at Familylife.com to receive your daily Love Dare via email each morning.

Let me encourage you to take advantage of this simple & easy way to improve your marriage – no matter what state it is in.  If you have a great marriage – it will make it the best!  If you have a good marriage – it will make it better.  If you are struggling in your marriage or perhaps even ready to call it quits – why not give it a try?

The bonus of getting it in your email inbox every morning is AWESOME.  What a great daily reminder to work at our marriages! I signed myself up and I signed up my husband (knowing that while his intentions would be good – he just might not ever get around to actually going to the website and signing up – love you sweetheart!).

Todays Love Dare -

Resolve to say nothing negative about your spouse today.

  • I love this idea! Thanks for sharing!

  • Thanks for the link. I bought the book for my husband and left it at home. (We traveled for Christmas)

  • Thanks so much for passing this on. I registered myself and my husband this afternoon. I’m looking forward to it.

  • Marie:
If you And Scott will take this 40 day challenge and do each thing it says to do for the next 40 days it will be a step in the right direction and the results will be there for you two to celebrate on Valentine’s day. If you will each just do it and commit to it no matter how you feel inside it will enrich your married life and your walk with God. If nothing else it will be better than doing nothing. And at the end of the 40 days you will know that you have at least given it your best shot. Mom & I love you very much and only want the happiness and blessings to be experienced by you, Scott, Chloe and Jordan. I sincerely ask that you and Scott do this as a special favor to me. Love, Dad
